12-Step Recovery Organizations

he Sixth Tradition of Sex Addicts Anonymous states that "An SAA group ought never endorse, finance, or lend the SAA name to any related facility or outside enterprise, lest problems of money, property, and prestige divert us from our primary purpose."

As a service, EugeneSAA.com provides this alphabetical list of other 12-Step Recovery Fellowships without prejudice. These links in no way imply an endorsement of these other organizations by Sex Addicts Anonymous®, or by the Eugene SAA Intergroup.

The following statements regarding the organization's purpose are taken from the individual Websites.

  • ADD Anonymous (ADD Anon) is a fellowship of men and women whose common problem is a neurobiological condition that is genetically transmitted and is present in individuals from birth. It cannot be acquired as one grows older--but it does evolve over time. The symptoms may appear at different times, but the condition is always present. These symptoms make it difficult for the sufferer to function effectively in everyday affairs. The foundation for ADD Anonymous is the twelve-step process. This process has helped countless millions of individuals recover from many forms of addictive, compulsive or obsessive behavior. It brings together the tested wisdom and the proven effectiveness of the Twelve Steps. The process encourages self-understanding and emphasizes the importance of relying upon a Power greater than ourselves.

By practicing the Twelve Steps, focusing on "The Solution", and accepting a loving Higher Power of our understanding, we find freedom from the past and a way to improve our lives today.
