he Sixth Tradition of Sex
Addicts Anonymous states that "An SAA group ought never endorse,
finance, or lend the SAA name to any related facility or outside
enterprise, lest problems of money, property, and prestige divert us from
our primary purpose."
As a service, SAA provides
this list of other 12-Step Fellowships involved in Sex Addiction. These
links in no way imply an endorsement of these other organizations by SAA.
The following statements
regarding the organization's purpose are taken from the individual
Websites.
-
Codependents of
Sexual Addiction (COSA) is a 12-step recovery program for men
and women who are sexually codependent. In COSA, we find hope whether
or not there is a sexually addicted person currently in our lives.
COSA recognizes that sexual co-addiction is a disease with effects as
devastating as sexual addiction. With the humble act of reaching out,
we begin the process of recovery. COSA is open to anyone whose life
has been affected by a person with sexual compulsion.

Sexaholics Anonymous
(SA) is a fellowship of men and women who share their
experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve
their common problem and help others to recover. The only requirement
for membership is a desire to stop lusting and become sexually sober.
There are no dues or fees for SA membership; we are self-supporting
through our own contributions. SA is not allied with any sect,
denomination, politics, organization, or institution; does not wish to
engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes.
Our primary purpose is to stay sexually sober and help others to
achieve sexual sobriety. Sexaholics Anonymous is a recovery program
based on the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous and received
permission from AA to use its Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions in
1979.

Sexual Compulsives
Anonymous (SCA) is a 12-Step fellowship, inclusive of all
sexual orientations, open to anyone with a desire to recover from
sexual compulsion. We are not group therapy, but a spiritual program
that provides a safe environment for working on problems of sexual
addiction and sexual sobriety. We believe we are not meant to repress
our God-given sexuality, but to learn how to express it in ways that
will not make unreasonable demands on our time and energy, place us in
legal jeopardy, or endanger our mental, physical or spiritual health.
Members are encouraged to develop a sexual recovery plan, defining
sexual sobriety for themselves. There are no requirements for
admission to our meetings: anyone having difficulties with sexual
compulsion is welcome.

Sex and Love Addicts
Anonymous (SLAA) is a Twelve Step, Twelve Tradition-oriented
fellowship based on the model pioneered by Alcoholics Anonymous. One
of the resources we draw on is our willingness to stop acting out in
our own personal bottom-line addictive behavior on a daily basis. In
addition, members reach out to others in the fellowship, practice the
Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions, and seek a relationship with a
higher power to counter the destructive consequences of one or more
addictive behaviors related to sex addiction, addiction to love,
dependency on romantic attachments, emotional dependency, and sexual,
social and emotional anorexia. We find a common denominator in our
obsessive/compulsive patterns which renders any personal differences
of sexual or gender orientation irrelevant.

Sexual Recovery
Anonymous (SRA) is a fellowship of men and women who share
their experience, strength and hope with each other so that they may
solve their common problem and help others to recover. The principles
of SRA are found in our Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions (based on
those of Alcoholics Anonymous). The only requirement for membership is
a desire to stop compulsive sexual behavior. SRA is open to all
seeking recovery from sexual addiction, regardless of gender, sexual
orientation or relationship status. SRA welcomes people of all faitihs,
and special care is taken to make sure that the program remains
spiritual and does not become religious in nature. Our primary purpose
is to stay sexually sober and help others achieve sobriety. Sobriety
is the release from all compulsive and destructive sexual behaviors.
We have found through our experience that sobriety includes freedom
from masturbation and from sex outside a committed relationship. We
believe that spirituality and self-love are antidotes to the
addiction. We are walking towards a healthy sexuality.
